Northants on Sunday (defunct)

Northants on Sunday was a freesheet tabloid distributed to over 50,000 homes in Northamptonshire every Sunday, centring upon the towns of Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Irthlingborough and Daventry. It was one of very few Sunday freesheets in the UK.

It was published by Northamptonshire Newspapers, part of the UK-wide Johnston Press group of regional newspapers, as a companion to their paid-for evening titles the Northampton Chronicle & Echo and the Northants Evening Telegraph. The editorial offices were in Kettering.

It had no website of its own; the link below is to the Northants Telegraph‘s website.

Its launch in 2001 took place in controversial circumstances. At the same time, LSN Media were planning to launch a title called Northamptonshire on Sunday in the Rushden area and sought an injunction against Northants on Sunday. However, the injunction was not upheld.

It appears to have ceased publication some time in 2011.
