The Perthshire HUB (defunct)

The Perthshire HUB was a fortnightly freesheet community newspaper delivered to homes and pickup points in the town of Perth and surrounding communities in the Perth & Kinross council area.

It was founded in May 2011 (as The Perth HUB – it changed its title with Issue 4, in mid-June 2011) by the HUB Media group as part of a series of community newspapers with a focus on good news stories, which the group aimed to expand across Scotland and the rest of the UK. The editorial offices moved from HUB Media’s Uddingston headquarters to Perth in December 2011.

The website was (and is) incomplete, but did offer a link to an e-edition – although a search was then required to find the latest available edition.

It came out on alternate Wednesdays.

It was forced to suspend publication in February 2012 after editor Liz Gibb was taken ill just before Christmas 2011.
