Bishopbriggs Herald

The Bishopbriggs Herald is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in and around the town of Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire on the north-eastern fringes of greater Glasgow.

It’s published by Johnston Press‘s Johnston (Falkirk) branch, and is part of a Herald series covering North Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire – the others in the series are the Kirkintilloch Herald (which is the lead title) and the Springburn Herald. The series’ editorial offices are in Kirkintilloch; all three titles share the same website.

It was founded in 1961 as the Bishopbriggs & District Herald. Two years later it was incorporated into the Kirkintilloch Herald (which became the Kirkintilloch Herald and Bishopbriggs Herald), but regained its separate identity in 1976.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
