Ballyclare Gazette (defunct)

The Ballyclare Gazette was a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Ballyclare in County Antrim’s Six Mile Valley, and the Borough of Newtownabbey.

It was published by the Alpha Newspaper Group, and formed part of an East Antrim Gazette series together with the Larne Gazette (which, like it, was launched in 1994) and the much older Carrickfergus Advertiser (founded in 1883). It claimed to have a higher weekly circulation than any other national or regional newspaper in the Ballyclare district.

It came out on Thursdays. An e-edition was also available by paid subscription.

It closed in mid-January 2014, along with the Carrickfergus Advertiser. The Larne Gazette had already closed nearly three years previously.
