It’s published by Hull-based Mail News & Media Ltd, the local arm of Northcliffe Media, which in turn was the regional newspaper division of the Daily Mail & General Trust until late 2012 but is now the main component of the new Local World media group. The editorial offices are in Kingston-upon-Hull.
An associated Advertiser series of weekly freesheet tabloids, covering West and East Hull, Beverley, Holderness and other parts of the East Riding, has now been reduced to just two titles: the Hull & East Riding Advertiser and the Beverley Advertiser.
As with Northcliffe’s other newspapers, it lost its own web presence when its website at thisiseastriding.co.uk became a local portal site, for which the Mail provided news stories.
