Beverley Advertiser
The Beverley Advertiser is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in Beverley, the historic county town of the East Riding of Yorkshire, and neighbouring villages.
It was founded in 1977. For nearly eight years from 1995 to 2003 it was called the Beverley and East Yorkshire Advertiser.
It’s published by Mail News & Media, a branch of the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional newspaper publishing division, Northcliffe Media, from editorial offices in Hull.
It’s part of a sister Advertiser series to Mail News & Media’s daily paid-for titles for the county, the Hull Daily Mail and the East Riding Mail. Unlike the other Advertisers, it used to have a mini-website of its own, but this had been wound up by March 2011. The website has now become a local portal, to which the newspapers merely contribute news stories.
It comes out on Thursdays.
