West Cornwall Packet

The West Cornwall Packet is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the Penwith peninsula in Cornwall, including the town of Penzance and the Land’s End area.

It was launched in 2010 and is published by Packet Newspapers, a Falmouth-based subsidiary of Newsquest (South West), as part of its Packet group of paid-for weekly tabloids for western and central Cornwall. It replaced their earlier title for Penwith, the picturesquely named Penwith Pirate.

The Packet series titles share a common website; the link below is to the West Cornwall news pages. The editorial offices are in Falmouth.

It absorbed a companion quarter-fold freesheet, the Helston, The Lizard & West Cornwall Gazette, at the end of 2012.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
