Deal & Sandwich Express (defunct)

The Deal & Sandwich Express was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper sold in and around the seaside town of Deal and nearby Sandwich in East Kent.

It was launched in 2009 as a sub-edition of the paid-for Dover Express. It was published by Kent Regional News & Media, a branch of Northcliffe Media – which at the time was the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional newspaper publishing division. (It’s since become part of the Local World group.)

The editorial offices were in Folkestone and shared with the Folkestone Herald.

It came out on Thursdays.

It ceased publication in mid-July 2012, after six months as a paid-for publication with a minuscule print run.
