Peterlee Mail (defunct)

The Peterlee Mail was an evening tabloid newspaper published from Monday to Saturday and sold in the Co. Durham town of Peterlee and its surrounding area.

It was printed by Northeast Press Ltd, a division of Johnston Press since their 1999 takeover of Portsmouth & Sunderland Newspapers.

It was a sub-edition of the Hartlepool Mail and shared its editorial offices in Hartlepool.

It ceased publication in early 2012. The URL below now redirects to the website of the Peterlee Star, which used to be the sister freesheet but was relaunched as a paid-for title in May 2012.
