Wembley & Kingsbury Times (defunct)

The Wembley & Kingsbury Times was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the suburbs of Wembley and Kingsbury in the London Borough of Brent in North West London, including the smaller suburbs of Wembley Park, Alperton, Tokynton, Preston and Kenton.

It was published by North West London Newspapers, a subsidiary of Archant‘s Archant London division, from their centralised offices in Swiss Cottage. It came out on Wednesdays.

It was launched, probably in 1981, as the Wembley & Kenton Recorder. From 1993 to 2000 it was the Wembley, Kenton & London Recorder. It then changed name three times in two years, first reverting briefly to the earlier name before becoming the Wembley & Kingsbury Recorder and then the Wembley & Kingsbury Chronicle. It became the Wembley & Kingsbury Times in 2004.

It ceased publication at the end of August 2011. The URL below now redirects to the Brent & Kilburn Times‘s website.

Archived e-edition issues are still available online, though you have to search for them.
