All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Harrow Times

The Harrow Times is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the London Borough of Harrow on the north-western fringes of Greater London, including the suburbs of Kingsbury, Pinner, Queensbury, Rayners Lane, Stanmore and Wealdstone as well as the town of Harrow itself.

It was founded in 1997. It’s published by Newsquest (North London). The editorial offices moved in 2013 from Hendon to Watford, where they’re collocated with the Watford Observer and with Newsquest’s three-title Times group for Barnet, Edgware and Hendon.

A tiny fraction of the distribution (fewer than 0.5 per cent) was sold through the news trade until fairly recently, but that has now stopped. On the other hand, a substantial proportion – nearly a quarter – is now distributed at pickup points in supermarkets, libraries and a DIY/garden centre.

It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available free on the website.
