Melton Citizen (defunct)

The Melton Citizen was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to households in the Leicestershire town of Melton Mowbray and the surrounding area.

It was founded in 1989 and was a companion paper to the weekly paid-for newspaper the Melton Times, published by the Johnston Press-held and Peterborough-based East Midlands Newspapers. It shared editorial offices (in Melton) and a website with its parent paper.

It came out on Tuesdays.

It ceased publication in 2009.
