Grantham Citizen (defunct)

The Grantham Citizen was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Grantham, the main town of the Parts of Kesteven in Lincolnshire.

It was published by Peterborough-based East Midlands Newspapers, a branch of Johnston Press’s Midlands division, as a companion to its paid-for weekly title for the area, the Grantham Journal. It shared the Journal‘s editorial offices in Grantham High Street.

It was founded in 1987 as the Grantham Leader. It changed title to the Grantham Citizen & Leader in March 1989, and took the title above just 11 weeks later.

It had no website of its own; its web presence was through the Journal‘s website.

It came out on Tuesdays.
