St Neots Town Crier (defunct)

The St Neots Town Crier was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of St Neots in the south of Huntingdonshire to the west of Cambridgeshire and its surrounding villages, including Great Paxton, Little Paxton and Cambourne.

It was founded in 1982 and was published by Bletchley-based Premier Newspapers, part of Johnston Press‘s South Midlands division. The editorial offices for the series were in St Neots.

It was one of a series of three Town Crier newspapers; the others were the Huntingdon Town Crier and the St Ives Town Crier. All came out on Thursdays.

Upon Iliffe’s acquisition of the Town Crier series from Johnston Press in January 2009 it was merged with the St Neots Weekly News to form the St Neots News & Crier. The series’s huntingdontoday.co.uk website was withdrawn.
