Uttoxeter Post & Times

The Uttoxeter Post & Times is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the Staffordshire market town of Uttoxeter and the surrounding area – at least as far as Rugeley and Cheadle, and even in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford.

It was founded by Hill Bros in 1991. In 2003 it was bought by Staffordshire Sentinel News & Media, part of Northcliffe Media Ltd, which at the time was the regional newspaper publishing arm of the Daily Mail & General Trust group. In June 2011 Northcliffe agreed to sell the Post & Times series to Staffordshire Newspapers, a subsidiary of the Iliffe media group. Northcliffe and Iliffe merged at the end of 2012 to form the Local World group.

It shares a website with Staffordshire Newspapers’ other paid-for tabloid for the area, the Uttoxeter Advertiser.

The editorial offices were in Uttoxeter prior to the takeover, but then moved to the Smithfield Centre in Leek, where they shared with the Leek Post & Times. However, they’re now back in Uttoxeter once more, at the address below.

It comes out on Fridays.
