Helston Gazette (defunct)

The Helston Gazette – or, more formally, the Helston & District Gazette – was a weekly freesheet newspaper delivered to homes in and around the town of Helston in southern Cornwall, including Porthleven, Mullion and the Lizard peninsula.

It was published by Newsquest (South West) and was a companion to their paid-for weekly newspaper for the area, the Helston Packet. It was produced in Falmouth from the editorial offices of the Packet series, whose website it also shared.

Unlike its stablemates, it was produced in quarter-folded tabloid format as opposed to the usual half-folded.

It came out on Wednesdays.

It was relaunched in 2012 as the Helston, The Lizard & West Cornwall Gazette, but was absorbed into the West Cornwall Packet at the end of the year.
