Chronicle eXTRA – Tyne West (defunct)
The Chronicle eXTRA – Tyne West was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed in homes in the western suburbs of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and other nearby towns and villages to the west of the city, in an area taking in the towns of Prudhoe, Blaydon, Rowland’s Gill and Ryton.
It was published by NCJ Media, part of the nationwide Trinity Mirror group. It was a companion to their evening tabloid for the North East of England, the Evening Chronicle, and was one of a series of several Chronicle eXTRA newspapers, of which only the Newcastle and Gateshead editions remain. The editorial offices were in Newcastle.
It came out on Wednesdays.
