Cardiff Post (defunct)

The Cardiff Post was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in and around the Welsh capital.

It was founded in 1980 and was published by Media Wales Ltd, a division of one of the United Kingdom’s largest newspaper publishers, Trinity Mirror. It was one of a series of three Post weekly freesheets; the others were the Barry Post and the Bridgend Post.

It had no website of its own; as with all Trinity Mirror’s South Wales newspapers, its online presence was through

In August 2009 it was relaunched as the Echo Extra, making it more explicitly a companion to the South Wales Echo.
