Campaign
Campaign is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to households in the Valleys of Mid Glamorgan, particularly Caerphilly, the Rhymney Valley up as far as New Tredegar and the Sirhowy Valley around Blackwood.
Its history goes back to at least 1982. There used to be several editions, but all had disappeared by January 2014, with the Blackwood, Risca & Cross Keys edition being the last local edition to cease publication. The Caerphilly, Ystrad Mynach & Bargoed edition has now expanded to cover the whole circulation area.
Campaign is published by Newsquest (Wales). The editorial offices were in Caerphilly until 2010, when they moved to Newsquest (Wales)’s headquarters in Newport.
It comes out on Wednesdays. An e-edition’s also available free on the website.
