Clyde Weekly News (defunct)

The Clyde Weekly News was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the towns along the north bank of the Clyde estuary west of Glasgow, from Clydebank in East Dunbartonshire through Dumbarton, Alexandria and Bonhill in West Dunbartonshire and all the way downstream to Helensburgh (formerly also in Dunbartonshire, now in Argyll and Bute).

It was founded in 1992 and published by Scottish & Universal Newspapers (the Scottish arm of Trinity Mirror) as a companion to their paid title for the area, the Lennox Herald (and its sub-edition the Helensburgh Lennox). It shared their website and their editorial offices in Dumbarton.

It came out on Fridays.

In August 2011 Scottish & Universal Newspapers announced the indefinite suspension of all six of its weekly freesheets, including the Clyde Weekly News, with effect from the week ending 9 September.
