Pershore Journal (defunct)

The Pershore Journal was a predominantly freesheet weekly tabloid newspaper distributed to households in and around the market town of Pershore in the Wychavon district of South East Worcestershire.

It was published by Newsquest (Midlands South) and was a sub-edition of the Evesham Journal. The editorial offices used to be in Evesham, but moved to Newsquest’s offices in Worcester following a review in late 2011.

Although it was predominantly a freesheet, a very small number of copies of each issue were sold through the news trade.

It came out on Thursdays.

It’s now ceased publication: from February 2013 onwards the Evesham Journal has borne the tagline “Also covering Pershore and surrounding areas”. Its URL continues to mirror the Pershore news page of the Evesham Journal‘s website, as it had done for a considerable time before the newspaper’s closure.
