Cheadle Post & Times

The Cheadle Post & Times is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the market town of Cheadle and more widely in the District of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

It’s one of a series of Post & Times newspapers for eastern and north-eastern Staffordshire, together with the Leek Post & Times and the Uttoxeter Post & Times.

The Post & Times series was originally founded by Hill Brothers; the Cheadle Post & Times was launched in 1991 as a stand-alone title. From 2003 until recently it was published by Staffordshire Sentinel News & Media, a branch of the Daily Mail & General Trust’s regional newspaper division, Northcliffe Media. However, Northcliffe sold the series to Staffordshire Newspapers – part of the Iliffe group – in June 2011. Iliffe News & Media became part of the Local World group at the end of 2012.

The editorial offices were in Cheadle but have now been moved to share with the Leek Post & Times in Leek. Although it has its own URL, that simply redirects to the Leek Post & Times website, of which the Cheadle Post & Times‘s pages are a sub-domain.

It comes out on Thursdays.
