South Gloucestershire Independent (defunct)

The South Gloucestershire Independent was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the southern part of the county of Gloucestershire, including the towns of Stroud, Dursley, Cirencester, Tetbury, Nailsworth, Minchinhampton and Stonehouse.

It was published by Newsquest (Gloucestershire) as a companion title to its paid weekly tabloid series the Gloucestershire County Gazette. The editorial offices were in Dursley.

It was one of a series of three Independent newspapers for Gloucestershire; the others were the Gloucester Independent and the Cheltenham Independent. All three have now been amalgamated into a single edition.

It had no website of its own; the link below is to the Gloucestershire County Gazette‘s website.

It came out on Wednesdays.
