Ringwood Avon Advertiser (defunct)

The Ringwood Advertiser – in full, the Ringwood, Verwood & Fordingbridge Avon Advertiser – was a weekly freesheet tabloid for the area to the south of Salisbury around the towns of Ringwood and Fordingbridge in western Hampshire and Verwood in north-eastern Dorset, as well as various villages in southern Wiltshire around Broad Chalke.

It was one of a series of three Avon Advertiser titles published by Salisbury Newspapers, a branch of Newsquest (Southern), as companions to its paid-for Salisbury Journal series, with which they shared a website; the others were the Wimborne & Ferndown Avon Advertiser and the Salisbury Avon Advertiser. The series editorial offices were in Salisbury.

The series originated in a single The Avon Advertiser launched in 1978. A Hants & Dorset edition was launched in 1983 and evolved into the Ringwood, Verwood & Fordingbridge Avon Advertiser in 2006.

It came out on Wednesdays.

It was absorbed into the Salisbury Advertiser in January 2014.
