Crediton Courier

The Crediton Courier is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in and around the town of Crediton in Mid Devon.

It was founded in 1974 as a monthly, the Crediton Country Courier, but became a fortnightly publication in the mid-1980s. It switched to weekly publication at the beginning of May 2013.

It dropped the Country from its masthead in 2011, although the word still crops up in the body of the website from time to time.

It’s published by Crediton Country Courier Ltd, a branch of Sir Ray Tindle’s Tindle Newspapers group. The editorial offices are in Crediton.

It comes out on Fridays. An e-edition’s also available by paid subscription.
