Bournemouth Advertiser

The Bournemouth Advertiser is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to households in the town of Bournemouth in eastern Dorset.

It was launched in 1983 as a replacement for the Bournemouth & Dorset Times, which was originally founded in 1858 as The Bournemouth Visitors Directory and Poole and Christchurch Saturday Advertiser and continued from 1919 to 1956 as The Bournemouth Times and Directory before becoming the Bournemouth Times.

It’s part of a three-title Advertiser series covering the East Dorset conurbation, together with the Christchurch Advertiser and the Poole Advertiser. All are published by Newsquest (Southern) as companions to the Daily Echo and share its editorial offices and website (the link below redirects to the Echo‘s website).

It comes out on Thursdays.
