Sittingbourne Messenger

The Sittingbourne Messenger is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in and around the town of Sittingbourne in the Borough of Swale in northern Kent.

It was launched in 2009 as a sub-edition of the Maidstone-based Kent Messenger and is published by the KM Group. The editorial offices are in Sheerness.

A freesheet companion, the Sittingbourne Extra, ceased publication in December 2011 and was replaced by a paid-for midweek title, the Sittingbourne News Extra.

The Messenger comes out on Fridays. A paid e-edition is also available via the website.
