Lakeland Echo (defunct)

The Lakeland Echo was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the Lake District in southern and central Cumbria, including the towns of Kendal, Cockermouth, Keswick, Windermere and Ulverston.

It was founded in 1979 and was published by Lancaster & Morecambe Newspapers, a branch of the North West Division of the Johnston Press group of regional newspapers. The editorial offices were collocated with The Visitor and the Lancaster & Morecambe Reporter in Morecambe.

It came out on Tuesdays.

It ceased publication in 2010.
