The Garstang Courier

The Garstang Courier is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in northern Lancashire in and around the market town of Garstang and the villages of Over Wyre in the Borough of Wyre, on the northern Fylde Peninsula.

It was founded in 1963. From 1974 to 1993 its title was simply The Courier.

It’s published by Lancashire Evening Post Ltd, part of the North West division of the UK-wide Johnston Press group of regional newspaper publishers. The editorial offices are in Garstang.

It shares its offices with a sister newspaper, the Longridge News, which covers the nearby town of Longridge and the surrounding parts of the Ribble Valley. Since mid-2012 it’s shared an editor with the Lancaster Guardian.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
