Berwick Gazette (defunct)

The Berwick Gazette was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for England’s most northerly town, Berwick-upon-Tweed; the far north of Northumberland; and neighbouring parts of the Scottish Borders council area across the border in Scotland, including the towns of Duns and Eyemouth.

It was founded in 1984 as the Berwick Leader but changed title to the Berwick Gazette four years later. It was published by the Tweeddale Press Group, a division of Johnston Press, as a companion to the paid-for weekly tabloid paper the Berwick Advertiser. The Gazette shared the Advertiser‘s editorial offices in Berwick and its website.

It came out on Fridays.
