The Hampstead & Highgate Express

The Hampstead & Highgate Express – known colloquially and, since 1994, in its masthead as the Ham&High – is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold across a substantial part of North London, including Hampstead, Highgate, Upper Holloway, Kentish Town and Camden Town in the London Borough of Camden, Golders Green, Hendon and Finchley in the London Borough of Barnet, and Upper Holloway (or Archway) in the London Borough of Islington.

It was founded in 1872. It’s published by Archant London, the London branch of the Archant media group. The editorial offices are in Swiss Cottage.

There’s a sub-edition for the northern part of the City of Westminster, the St John’s Wood, Marylebone and Maida Vale Express, known generally as the Wood & Vale. An earlier sub-edition, the Ham & High Broadway, covered Muswell Hill, Crouch End and Hornsey in the London Borough of Haringey; after ceasing publication in December 2010, it was resurrected as the Broadway Ham & High in October 2012.

It comes out on Thursdays. A (free) e-edition’s also available on the website.
