Great Yarmouth & Gorleston Gazette (defunct)

The Great Yarmouth & Gorleston Gazette was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to 40,000 homes in and around the seaside resort town of Great Yarmouth and neighbouring Gorleston-on-Sea at the eastern end of Norfolk.

It was launched in January 2012 by MGMT Media (who described themselves at the time as Norfolk’s “newest media company”) in direct competition with Archant‘s weekly freesheet for the area, the Great Yarmouth Advertiser. The editorial offices were in the Eurocentre near Great Yarmouth railway station.

It came out on Thursdays. An e-edition was also available free on the website (which has now been taken down).

It ceased publication in early April 2012, for undisclosed reasons.
