Great Yarmouth Advertiser

The Great Yarmouth Advertiser (technically an edition of an overall The Advertiser title, but still generally referred to by the title given here) is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the Norfolk seaside resort town of Great Yarmouth and surrounding towns and villages in eastern Norfolk, including Gorleston-on-Sea, Caister-on-Sea, Hemsby, Belton, Acle and the eastern Broads.

It was founded in 1977 as the Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Broadland edition of the Anglia Advertiser. It’s one of a series of Advertiser freesheets published by Archant Norfolk, part of the Archant Anglia division of the Archant media group; the others are the Norwich Advertiser and the Waveney Advertiser. The main editorial offices are in Norwich at Archant’s headquarters, but there are also offices in Yarmouth; details of the main Yarmouth office are given below.

It’s a companion to Archant Norfolk’s paid-for weekly tabloid for the area, the Great Yarmouth Mercury.

It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition (free) is also available on the website.
