Coastal Scene

The Coastal Scene is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the Suffolk coastal area, covering the towns of Framlingham, Woodbridge, Leiston and Saxmundham and other smaller towns and villages nearby.

It’s published by Archant Suffolk, the county’s branch of media group Archant‘s Archant Anglia division, and was established in January 2012 with the merger of two separate Coastal Scene editions, the Coastal Scene – West and Coastal Scene – East. The two editions themselves were less than a year old, having been started in March 2011 as a relaunch of Archant Suffolk’s earlier weekly freesheet for the area, the Coastal Advertiser.

Most copies are delivered direct through letterboxes, but a small number are also available through pickup points at various Co-op stores, tourist information centres and a variety of other outlets including cafés, pubs and farm shops.

The editorial offices are in Framlingham at Archant Suffolk’s East Suffolk office, although there’s also a newsdesk at Archant Suffolk’s headquarters in Ipswich.

It comes out on Fridays. An e-edition’s also available free on the website.
