Campaign (Pontypridd) (defunct)

Campaign (Pontypridd) was one of a series of weekly freesheet tabloid newspapers published by Newsquest (Wales) and delivered to households in the Valleys of Mid Glamorgan.

The series was founded in 1982. At one time there were numerous editions, but they were consolidated into just three by 2007, and now only the Blackwood and Caerphilly editions remain.

The Pontypridd edition covered the town itself plus the rest of the Cynon Valley as far up as Mountain Ash and as far down as Llantrisant, taking in the smaller towns of Beddau, Church Village, Porth, Glyncoch and Ynysbwyl.

The editorial offices were in Caerphilly until 2010, when they moved to Newsquest (Wales)’s headquarters in Newport. All editions shared a common website.

It came out on Wednesdays.
