Y Cymro
Y Cymro (”The Welshman”) is Wales’s only national Welsh-language newspaper. It’s published in Wrexham (Wrecsam).
It appears weekly (on Wednesdays since its takeover by Sir Ray Tindle in 2004; prior to that, it appeared on Saturdays).
It was first published in 1932. It’s not the first paper to take the name Y Cymro; others had been published in the 19th and early 20th centuries. But it’s been the longest-lasting so far.
