The Flintshire Standard

The Flintshire Standard is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in south-eastern Flintshire, including the towns of Mold, Flint, Northop, Connah’s Quay and Hawarden.

It’s a companion paper to the Flintshire edition of the Leader, an evening title sold around Chester and Wrexham. It’s published by NWN Media (formerly North Wales Newspapers Ltd), an independent family-owned company that celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2009.

It’s also one of a series of three Standard freesheets for the area at the head of the Dee estuary; the others are the Chester and District Standard and the Ellesmere Port Standard. The series claims to have the biggest distribution of any freesheet in Flintshire, Chester and Ellesmere Port.

The editorial offices are at NWN’s Mold headquarters.

It comes out on Thursdays. A free e-edition’s also available on the website.
