Cardiff Post (defunct)
It was founded in 1980 and was published by Media Wales Ltd, a division of one of the United Kingdom’s largest newspaper publishers, Trinity Mirror. It was one of a series of three Post weekly freesheets; the others were the Barry Post and the Bridgend Post.
It had no website of its own; as with all Trinity Mirror’s South Wales newspapers, its online presence was through WalesOnline.co.uk.
It came out on Thursdays.
In August 2009 it was relaunched as the Echo Extra, making it more explicitly a companion to the South Wales Echo.
