Stranraer & Wigtownshire Free Press
The Stranraer & Wigtownshire Free Press is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the port town of Stranraer, the Rhins of Galloway peninsula, Wigtownshire and parts of South Ayrshire.
It was founded in 1844. It’s an independent publication owned by Stair Estates, a rural-based land and small business management company based near Stranraer. The editorial offices are in Stranraer.
It comes out on Wednesdays, although the official day of publication is Thursday.
