It was launched in 1987 by the Alloa Printing and Publishing Co. It’s now published by Forth Weekly Press, a branch of the Romanes Media Group (formerly Clyde & Forth Press) based in Dunfermline. The editorial offices are in Alloa.

There’s a sub-edition for Clackmannanshire, the Alloa and Hillfoots Weekender.
