All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

St Andrews Citizen

The St Andrews Citizen is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the university town and former Royal Burgh of St Andrews, as well as surrounding parts of the north-eastern end of the Kingdom of Fife.

It was founded in 1870. It’s part of a group of newspapers led by the Fife Free Press. All are published by Strachan & Livingston, which is a subsidiary of the Edinburgh-based Johnston Press; all the group share a single Fife Today website.

The main editorial office is in Kirkcaldy, but there’s a local office in St Andrews which is open from Tuesday to Thursday.

It comes out on Fridays.
