Paisley & Renfrewshire Extra
The Paisley & Renfrewshire Extra was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Paisley, the county of Renfrewshire and the towns of Johnstone, Bishopton, Bridge of Weir, Renfrew, Erskine and (in the administrative area of East Renfrewshire) Barrhead.
It was previously part of the Norwich-based Archant group’s Scottish operation, but came into the ownership of Johnston Press, along with Archant’s other seven Scottish titles, in April 2007. The editorial offices were in Pollokshields in Glasgow.
It came out on Thursdays.
There were two editions: one for Paisley & Renfrewshire and the other for Barrhead & Renfrewshire.
It ceased publication in late 2010. The website was no longer available as of April 2011.
