Kincardineshire Observer

The Kincardineshire Observer is a weekly tabloid newspaper for central Kincardineshire (the Mearns), covering an area of about six miles radius from Laurencekirk, including the towns of Inverbervie, Luthermuir, Marykirk, Auchenblae, Fordoun and Edzell.

It was founded in 1902 as the Laurencekirk Observer, but changed to its current title five years later.

It’s published by Angus County Press Ltd, a division of the nationwide Johnston Press regional newspaper publishing group, and is much the smaller, in circulation terms, of a two-title series also including the Mearns Leader. The editorial offices are in Stonehaven.

It comes out on Fridays.
