Edinburgh Evening News
The Edinburgh Evening News is a tabloid newspaper published every evening from Monday to Saturday and distributed for sale within the city of Edinburgh and in the Lothian, Fife and Scottish Borders regions of Scotland; as of 2009 it was the best-selling daily title in Edinburgh. Perhaps surprisingly, given the size of its distribution area, there are no sub-editions.
It was founded in 1873. It’s published by The Scotsman Publications (part of major regional and local newspaper publishers Johnston Press), who by remarkable coincidence also own The Scotsman (with which the Evening News shares a website, along with Scotland on Sunday).
