Brechin Advertiser
The Brechin Advertiser (nickname: “The Brechiner”) is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in Brechin and the Central Angus area, including Edzell, Fettercairn, Laurencekirk, Marykirk and the eastern Glens of Angus.
Its history goes back to its foundation in 1848, when it was called The Brechin Advertiser, & Angus & Mearns Intelligencer; it adopted its present shorter title in 1879.
It’s published by Angus County Press, part of the Scotland division of nationwide publishers of regional and local papers, Johnston Press. The editorial offices are in Brechin.
It comes out on Thursdays.
