Allan Water News (defunct)

The Allan Water News was a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the Stirling council area along the lower reaches of the Allan Water, especially around the towns of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane.

It was published by Forth Independent Newspapers. The editorial offices were collocated in Alloa with their title for Clackmannanshire, the Wee County News.

It came out on Thursdays.

The Allan Water News closed after Forth Independent Newspapers went into liquidation on 24 June 2011. Uddingston-based group HUB Media bought the title a couple of months later. Although there was no definite relaunch date available as of November 2011, Scott Mochar of parent company HUB Publishing (Scotland) confirmed that “it’ll definitely happen”. Nevertheless, the paper had still not reappeared by early 2013, and the registration of the domain name below has now lapsed.
