Sunday Express
Launched in 1918 by Max Aitken (the future Lord Beaverbrook) as the Sunday companion to the Daily Express, the Sunday Express is just like its weekday cousin – fundamentally conservative, aiming at a prosperous, none too serious readership.
It was known as the Express on Sunday for four years from 1996 to 2000, while the Daily Express was published under the title The Express.
