Tyrone Constitution
The Tyrone Constitution is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in Omagh and around Co. Tyrone and north Fermanagh between the Sperrin Mountains and the Clogher Valley.
It was founded in 1844, making it Omagh’s and Tyrone’s oldest newspaper. It’s published by the Dungannon-based Alpha Newspaper Group, which is chaired and owned by Lord Kilclooney, formerly deputy leader of the Ulster Unionists as John Taylor MP.
ITN journalist John Irvine started his career at the “Con”, as locals affectionately call it.
It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available on the website by paid subscription.
