Sunday Journal
The Sunday Journal is a tabloid newspaper sold in Counties Derry and Donegal. (Co. Donegal is covered by a sub-edition, Donegal on Sunday, but the Derry version is still popular on the Inishowen peninsula and in the North East of the county.)
It’s published by Derry Journal Ltd, part of the Johnston Press newspaper publishing group. It was founded in 2004 as a companion to the Derry Journal and shares its editorial offices in Derry (and its moderate nationalist editorial stance).
It no longer has its own website. Although it still has its own URL, it redirects to the Derry Journal‘s website.
It claims to be the fastest-growing Sunday newspaper in the North. It also happens to be the only local newspaper on the island of Ireland that’s published on a Sunday.
