Newtownards Chronicle
The Newtownards Chronicle (formally, it’s the Newtownards Chronicle & Co. Down Observer; colloquially, it’s the Ards Chronicle) is a weekly broadsheet newspaper sold in the town of Newtownards and northern County Down either side of Strangford Lough, including the entire Ards Peninsula and the towns of Dundonald and Ballynahinch.
It was founded in 1873 and is the only paid-for weekly local title for the Ards. It’s published by Spectator Newspapers, who also produce the County Down Spectator and the Newtownards Spectator.
It comes out on Thursdays.
